Uncle Salty

Good showering music and stuff. One of my favorites.”

Uncle Salty

The truth be told before I die, I need to tell you all a story
Why Uncle Salty and Daysi May went down in a blaze of glory
She's was meaner than a junk yard dog, so you didn't get in her way
She loved her gun and a switch blade knife, mothers kept their children away.

Years ago late one night, we all assumed that she was going to kill us
Playing poker with a one eyed jack, he held his cards when he should have shown them
She was sweeter than a chocolate bar, she kept her money in a moonshine jar
She loved her rum and her old black cat, stay the hell out of her way

They drove for miles and miles that day
Running rum with their life on the line, she was saved
Uncle Salty loved Daysi May

The story goes that she took his life, she sent him on down the river
The young man he betrayed her trust, beatin by the queen of a sinners
She's was tougher than a bully boy you know, she's was tougher than nails
She stole your heart and then she'd tear you apart boy, she was one to avoid

They searched for miles and miles all day
He took the fall with with blood on her hands, it’s a shame
Uncle Salty loved Daysi May

Oh Daysi, won't you come home

The truth be told before I die, I needed to tell my story
Uncle Salty placed the losing bet, all in the name of glory
She's was meaner than a junk yard dog so, you didn't get in her way
She loved her gun and a switch blade knife, mothers kept their children away.

They searched for miles and miles all day
He took the fall with with blood on her hands, it’s a shame
